ABOUT ME
One of the most important steps in making changes in your life is finding a professional who is the right fit for you. To help you decide if we might work well together, please take a look at the information below. Who I work with. I work with individual adults over the age of 20 who are struggling with issues such as anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, work/life direction, work satisfaction and performance. I also work with groups (work-related, social, and families) to improve communication and interpersonal relationships using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. I enjoy working with adult clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
My approach. I use a collaborative approach to individual therapy and coaching. This means we both have important roles in our working relationship. You are the expert on your life; I am the expert who can help you identify the issues that are holding you back and develop the strategies to move forward. My sessions are active and client-centered. I use goal-setting, decision-making, and mindfulness techniques to help clients initiate and make change.
My credentials. I am a licensed professional counselor in Kansas with a Master's degree in counseling from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I am a Myers-Briggs Certified Practitioner and completed the Foundations of Coaching program through MentorCoach. I also have a Master's degree in public administration from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Kansas State University.
